I am constantly reminded that there is no yin without yang. I got back to cooking in my own kitchen, realized I now have a mild almond allergy. Wore my favorite heels, got a blister. Taught some incredible yoga events, my AC broke. In June... in Miami. When everything is going great, something is bound to give. It won't be perfect all the time. It can't be. It's nature.
Life is an expansion and contraction. An inhale and an exhale. A give and a receive. The tide comes in, the tide goes out. Often we so badly want to stay in our expansion that we perceive the contraction as negative. The reality is that contraction is necessary. This is part of the cycle. The contraction, the down, is preparing us for new growth, new expansion. We will ebb and flow. We will expand and contract. Our own tides will flow in and out. We will breathe and we will keep breathing. Yoga is the template for us to recognize where we are in our own cycles and guide us towards being one with all that is. And the journey is so beautiful.
